Quincy 253D80VCB23M is the QT Max 5 HP two-stage splash-lubricated compressor on an 80-gallon vertical tank, 230V three-phase. It is the same QT-5 pump and head as the Pro version (17.2 CFM at 175 PSI, 945 RPM, 50,000-hour pump life), but the Max package adds an air-cooled aftercooler, electronic auto tank drain, low-oil-level shutdown, and a magnetic starter wired to a Furnas overload. The ‘M’ suffix is Quincy’s part-number flag for the Max trim. Net weight increases roughly 30 lbs over the Pro because of the aftercooler heat exchanger and drain solenoid. Best fit is a slightly more demanding shop than the Pro target: paint and body shops in humid climates that need the aftercooler to keep moisture out of HVLP guns, or any shop that wants to forget about manual draining.
