Centac C500

Gardner Denver Centac C500 is a 500 kW (670 HP) three-stage integrally-geared oil-free centrifugal air compressor producing roughly 3,100 SCFM at 100 PSI. Gardner Denver acquired the Centac line in legacy mergers and continues to manufacture it under the GD brand alongside the parallel Cameron-marketed Centac for upstream process industries. The C500 is sized for medium-large plant air demand replacing several rotary screws and offering Class 0 oil-free certification under ISO 8573-1. Construction is the proven integrally-geared design with three impellers driven from a central bull gear, water-cooled intercoolers between stages, and water-cooled aftercooler. Inlet guide vanes provide efficient turndown to roughly 70 percent flow before blow-off. Common applications include large breweries, automotive paint shops, gas separation plants, and any process needing high-volume contaminant-free air. Pricing is fully quote-based and varies dramatically with site conditions, water availability, and electrical infrastructure. Service intervals are several years with clean inlet air and proper water chemistry.
