CA10-UltraPack

The FS-Curtis CA10 UltraPack is a 10-horsepower two-stage reciprocating air compressor on a 120-gallon ASME-rated tank, available in vertical or horizontal configurations. It uses FS-Curtis’s E71 three-cylinder cast-iron pump, which is engineered for higher airflow and cooler operating temperatures than the two-cylinder E57. Output is 34.8 CFM at 175 PSI from a three-phase motor — single-phase is not offered at this horsepower. The UltraPack option bundle adds a magnetic starter with dual control, air-cooled aftercooler, automatic tank drain, low-oil shutdown protection, and vibration isolators, plus eligibility for the 5-Year UltraShield warranty. Voltage configurations include 200-208V, 230V, and 460V three-phase. The CA10 sits at the boundary between reciprocating and rotary-screw cost-effectiveness; FS-Curtis’s matching CT10 rotary-screw delivers similar CFM at higher first-cost and lower long-term operating cost. The CA10 makes sense where duty cycle is intermittent enough that a reciprocating’s longer life-per-dollar wins. Typical applications include collision shops with multiple bays, fabrication shops running intermittent grinders and impact wrenches, and pneumatic-conveyor lines.
