The Coltri MCH-13 Standard Electric is an 8.4 SCFM (238 L/min) breathing-air compressor at 5,000 PSI (345 bar), aimed at dive shops, paintball facilities, and small fire-service operations as a value alternative to Bauer’s Verticus VTC08-E3 at roughly 30-40% lower acquisition cost. Made by Aerotecnica Coltri (Desenzano del Garda, Italy) and distributed in North America by Nuvair (Oxnard, CA). The compressor block is a 4-stage air-cooled airend driven by a 5.5 kW (~7.5 HP) three-phase electric motor at 230/400 V (US installations typically run 208/230/460 V via the distributor-supplied panel). Standard purification is a 3-stage filter stack producing CGA G-7.1 Grade E / EN 12021 air; B-SECURUS-equivalent humidity monitoring is not offered, which is the key spec gap versus the Bauer VTC08-E3. Best for private dive shops, paintball fields, and instructor facilities that don’t carry NFPA-1989 documentation requirements.
