GA 55+

The Atlas Copco GA 55+ is a 75-horsepower (55 kW) fixed-speed oil-injected rotary screw air compressor delivering 354 CFM at 125 PSI with a 128 PSI maximum working pressure. The GA+ variant pairs an Interior Permanent Magnet (iPM) motor with the integrated Elektronikon Touch controller and Atlas Copco SMARTLINK remote monitoring — a step up in efficiency from the standard GA 55. Vertical-design direct drive eliminates gears, belts, and shaft seals; oil-cooled IP66 motor enclosure runs without regreasing; sound is roughly 68 dB(A) at 1 meter per ISO 2151:2004. Package footprint is 99 x 48 x 78 inches, weight 3,715 lb, with ambient operation 0-46 degrees C (32-115 F). At the 75 HP class it is the direct fixed-speed alternative to the Kaeser CSD-75 — the two products are cross-shopped in plant retrofits where continuous baseload at or above 80 percent of capacity makes a fixed-speed screw more cost-effective than a variable-speed package.
