AS10

The Air Techniques AirStar 10 (AS10) is an oilless dental air compressor sized for up to two simultaneous operatory users in a dental practice. It is rated 0.75 horsepower at 115V single-phase, with a pressure-switch range of 85-115 PSI cut-in/cut-out, and uses a long-stroke small-bore piston bonded with an anti-friction polymer that eliminates the need for compressor oil — critical for dental air, which contacts the patient and must be free of oil aerosol. Air leaving the compressor is filtered four times: once at the compressor head, twice at the proprietary membrane dryer, and again as it leaves the integrated tank. The membrane drying system maintains 100% ultra-dry air to dental handpieces, eliminating moisture damage to high-speed and electric handpieces. The AS10 measures roughly 27x28x34 inches and weighs 168 lbs in its enclosed cabinet, fitting in a typical dental utility room or under-counter installation. The unit complies with NFPA 99C Level 3 (medical air, dental use), the standard requirement for dental compressed air in US practices.
